Board of Trustees

Bremerton Community Theatre is organized as a non-profit corporation to promote, advance and encourage the art and education of the theatre; to cooperate with other educational and theatrical groups for the advancement of the theatre; to provide a mode of expression to anyone interested in any phase of the theatre; and to provide entertainment to the community.

The Board of Trustees acts as a General Managing executive committee and exercises full control over all of the business of the theatre. Should you wish to contact a member of the Board, click on their photo.

Donna Mozingo

PRESIDENT
Donna Mozingo was born into a Navy family in Zama, Japan, that moved to Port Orchard, Washington in 1974. She has been involved in the theater arts since 1982. The bulk of her time has been spent as Stage Manager, although she does like to get on stage whenever she can and has been known to run the light board when needed. She had previously served as Vice President from 2014 through 2023. She is currently a Billing Coordinator for Foster Garvey, a Seattle law firm.

Dan Engelhard

VICE PRESIDENT
Dan Engelhard, now retired, has over 46 years of commercial real estate experience in asset management, commercial leasing and retail management. His community theater involvement includes performing in over 100 productions since 1993 on the Peninsula and Tacoma and working back stage on several also. A resident of Kitsap for 33 years he has raised three children and has a lovely wife Leslie, also retired from medical field, a community theater actress, and tennis player.

Wallace Ross

SECRETARY
Wallace Ross is a high school English teacher and enjoys teaching Shakespeare and Dramatic Literature. He has lived in Kitsap County, WA, for nearly 23 years, 20 of those years in Bremerton. He got bit by the theater bug in high school, and by the time he graduated from the University of California at Irvine, he had been in 7 musicals and 4 plays. After a hiatus of 11 years, he leapt back onstage soon after moving to Kitsap County and met his wife in 1994 during a production of The Pirates of Penzance at a local community theater. Wallace has been in six BCT productions and looks forward to many more in the coming years. His daughter Ruthie has also performed at BCT, both in main stage productions and BCTjr Youth Theater Productions.

Gary Fetterplace

TREASURER
Gary Fetterplace has served as Treasurer for BCT since 2010 and has been active in community theater as an actor at many theaters in Kitsap County. He studied theater arts in London, and attended Rochester College of Technology, Bromley Technical College and Erith Technical College. He is the president and owner of Dr. Watson, Inc, a General Contracting Company. He is also a Certified Home Inspector, and has owned his own home inspection business, Surelook Homes, Inc. since 2004. He served as an Apprentice Building Services Engineer followed by Service Manager with M&E Building Services and AMEC, PLC in London. Gary brings to the Board a wealth of experience in facility and project management, as well as experience in the maintenance and financials of various types of equipment in the building service environment, with values ranging from $500-$500,000.

Rana Tan

member at-large, Production Coordinator
Rana Teresa Tan joined the BCT family as an actress in 1999 and has been volunteering onstage and offstage ever since. Onstage activities include acting, directing, set and costume design, music and vocal direction, and pianist. She joined the Board of Trustees in 2007 as Volunteer Coordinator and began serving as Production Coordinator in 2008. In addition to her duties as Production Coordinator, Rana has been responsible for applying for various grants for capital improvement projects at BCT and developing fundraising opportunities to help offset production costs. She has served as Program Director for the Youth Theater Program BCTjr since 2008. When she is not at the theater, Rana works as a hospitalist physician at St. Michael Medical Center in Silverdale.

Kristi Ann Jacobson

member at-large, Costumes & Properties
Kristi Ann Jacobson has been a board member with Bremerton Community Theatre since August 2018. From 2012 onward, she has actively volunteered at theaters throughout Kitsap County, both onstage and offstage as actor, director, text coach, costumer and stage manager. In addition to holding a Master’s Degree in Theater from Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington, she spent over a year as an intern studying with the professional theater company Will Geer’s Theatricum Botanicum in Topanga, California, and has a 110-hour study certificate from The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, England.

Eric Spencer

member at-large, Buildings & Grounds
Eric Spencer has previously served as Technical Director on the Board of Trustees since 2009 and brings a wealth of “real-life” theater experience to BCT. He is a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York, and worked professionally for many years, including playing The Fiddler in the 35th Anniversary National Tour of Fiddler on the Roof. Eric has also worked professionally as a stage manager and was involved in the ground-up creation of The Broadway Palm West Dinner Theater in Mesa, Arizona. Not only is Eric an accomplished actor, singer and director, but he has learned the art of lighting design since joining BCT and has designed lights for over two dozen shows. When he is not at BCT, Eric works as a finish carpenter for Kitsap Kitchen and Bath in Poulsbo.

Kevin Matthew

member at-large, Technical Director
Kevin Matthew returns to the position he previously held over 20 years ago. Since his recent retirement, Kevin has re-engaged in the theater community. First appearing on stage in 1994, Kevin has performed at BCT, CSTOCK, PAGSK, WWCA, Jewel Box, Kitsap Opera and BPA theaters. Kevin has sung professionally with the Millennium Music Foundation and also serves as the Technical Director for the Kitsap Forest Theater. He is looking forward to applying his technical talents to BCT to ensure our patrons receive the best possible theater experience.

Ta'Mara Bale

member at-large, Volunteer Coordinator
Ta'mara Bale was born and raised in Bremerton, WA. She is employed by Kaiser Permanente Washington and works in the radiology department. She has been involved with Bremerton Community Theatre nearly her entire life. She started by following her dad and brother to the theater to design, build and paint sets. Her sister was involved at BCT as an actor and choreographer, and her mother and grandmother volunteered as costumers. Ta’mara truly feels like she “grew up in the theater” at BCT. She has volunteered in many capacities ranging from front of house hostess, actor, stage manager, stage crew, set builder, and light board operator.

MJ Jordan

member at-large, Front-of-House Coordinator,
Business Manager

MJ Jordan has been a resident of Kitsap County for over 25 years and is employed by Kaiser Permanente as an IT Senior Quality Assurance Consultant. MJ’s involvement with Bremerton Community Theatre began as a patron in 1999, then as backstage crew in Kiss Me Kate and 7 Keys To Baldpate and evolved into several front-of-house positions necessitating her handling of ticketing issues, ticketing system updates and sales, as well as assuring general customer satisfaction. MJ has been BCT’s Business Manager since 2017 and Front-of-House Coordinator since 2019. She recently appeared on stage as Queen Victoria and in the ensemble in BCT’s production of Mary Poppins. As the Business Manager and Front-of-House Coordinator, enhancing the patrons’ theater experience is MJ’s primary focus with the goal of retaining existing patrons, gaining new ones, and increasing ticket sales.
