BCTjr: What We Do

BCTjr is where the magic begins for youngsters new to theater and those who desire to bolster their theatrical résumé.

With well more than 20 successful productions featuring the youthful talents of numerous children from throughout the region, BCTjr has provided youngsters ranging in age from 6 to 18 the space, time, and knowledge to discover and experience the theatrical process from beginning to end. This primer to stagecraft is geared specifically for those new and not-so-new performers in your home.

We invite you to join us at BCTjr when the time comes to reveal the magic of the imagination to the youth in your family!

Law & Order: Fairy Tale Unit by Jonathan Rand and directed by Rana Tan. To be performed July 17th at 7PM, July 18th at 2:30PM and 7:00PM, and July 19th at 2:30PM.

BCTjr, Bremerton Community Theatre's youth theater program, will present Law and Order: Fairy Tale Unit for the 2026 Summer Production. YES! It's baaaack! Auditions are June 7th and 8th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. No monologue is required, and you do not need to attend both auditions to be considered for a role. Performances are July 17th and 18th at 7PM, and July 18th and 19th at 2:30pm. Actors cast in the show must be available for all performances and dress rehearsals. NOTE: We welcome kids from ages 6 to18 to audition, and there is never a fee to take part in BCTjr productions.

What's the show about, you ask?

"In the fairy tale criminal justice system, the characters from fairy tales and nursery rhymes are represented by two separate yet equally ridiculous groups: the fairy tale police who investigate fairy tale crime, and the fairy tale district attorneys who prosecute the fairy tale offenders. These are their stories."

In a land far, far away, we find Detectives Cindy, H.D. and Zelle investigating a fairy tale crime scene of epic proportions: straw and mud everywhere, potential suspects around every corner. Join the fairy tale police as they question the likes of Ugle D, BB Wolf, Muffin Man, Pinocchio, and the Three Blind Mice to unravel a surprising crime committed by seemingly innocent fairy tale characters. Audition Dates
June 7th and 8th from 6:30-8:30PM at Bremerton Community Theatre.

Audition Information
You do not need to prepare a song or monologue, and you do not need to attend both days to be considered for a part. Auditions will be comprised of group activities and readings from the script. Children ages 6-18 are encouraged to participate. Questions? Please email director Rana Tan.
